87 'YJ power brakes...

87 'YJ power brakes...
My jeep idles around 700 rpm in neutral. When I
pump the brake pedal several times quickly the
rpm picks up about 300 rpm (to about 1000).
I've had it a couple years and its always done it.
Is this normal? I don't remember any of my other
cars doing it.

Hi Charles,
Yes, your power brake diaphragm is powered by vacuum, which of
course bypasses your throttle butterfly.

Yes, your power brake diaphragm is powered by vacuum, which of
