Re: 8 hr paint job on Jeep
LOL...
Just ONE
but I just reformatted my computin machine, and I have nothing to upload it
with at the mo...
Nothing really spetacular, just one itty bitty white jeep, sitting on his
belly pan, with all four wheels spinning.
*sigh*
It was pretty funny in an absurd sort of way.
I said "Honey, I think it's a little too deep and we're out here all by
ourselves with no recovery strap, winch or anything."
He said -"Naw, you can do it"
I said - "But, it looks like I might get high centered"
He said, "Just go on around the edge, you'll be just fine"
I said "Ok, but it's quite a ways to walk back to the house to get the
truck!"
He said "Nawwww... it'sll be JUST FINE"
We made it through going up the hill, but it had rained the day before and
everything velt pretty unstable
and then, well... coming back down ...we didn't do so well.
http://www.selby.ws/images/Dangit.jpg
The Jeep was resting ON all of the skid plates and the axles with all four
wheels just a turning roundy round.
Before it lost traction It drug itself about four feet.
After scrounging what we could to try and get something under the tires, we
decided to walk out.
Luckily, one of our neighbors drove by bout ten minutes after we had walked
out to the highway.
We got the truck, all the chain in the shop (yes I KNOW chain is a no no, I
was ducking as he pulled, it was all we had.)
On the way home EVERY (all four) person that lives on our road saw us coming
home and had to stop us and ask what we were up to. Both vehicles, and one
dripping fresh mud... not much goin on in our neck of the woods so we were
the entertainment for the weekend.
