4.2 tbi
i'm trying to find info on setting up a 4.2 with tbi (similar to howell) but
on a budget. so far i need a 86-91 4.3 v6 tbi, the ecm, howell reprogrammed
prom, in tank fuel pump (tank from a s-10 blazer?), and wire it all up!!
any suggestions or tips?
thanks, jeff

A 4.0 head conversion to take advantage of that improved fuel delivery.
I had my intake and Carter off preparing for a swap to TBI and noticed
how tired and worn my valve guide seals are... I also happened to know
of a bargain on a rebuilt 4.0 head (less than 200) so I'm in the middle
of converting right now... just waiting on new crane lifters to get to
me (might as well replace the 150,000 mile old ones while I'm in there).

Re: 4.2 tbi
yes ultimately a 4.0 head would be awsome!! but like i said i'm going for
low buck right now.. (still need a tranny and adapter for a t18 swap, damn
sr4crapped out on me)
but i have found this if anyone is looking for the info-
http://www.bustedjeep.com/projects/junkyardtbi.asp
couple hundred bucks for fi reliability ain't bad.
