2004 Wrangler Leaks when rains

I am new to Jeep and I have never owned a Jeep before. My wrangler (soft
top with half doors) has a small pool of water developing in the floor
section of drivers side only. During one heavy rain storm there was a
constant driping on my foot as I drove coming from above the accelerator
pedal. The passenger side stays dry. I need to bring it back to the
dealer to get it fixed.

My real question. What should I expect from them? Is it possible to have
a jeep that does not leak? Or should I just rip out the carpeting now?

It shouldn't leak. Perhaps the driver's side seal isn't fitted properly.

Re: 2004 Wrangler Leaks when rains

It should not leak...much. EArly TJs tended to leak from the cowl vent onto
the passenger side floor. Where you describe sould like possibly the
windshield seal, etc. Best way to find it is to button everything up, get
under the dash with a flashlight and have someone spray a hard stream of
water on the entire winshield area. After your back has about given out and
you're ready for traction it's likely the leak will make itself eveident.
(This is just one of the reasons I quit wrenching for a living about 22
years ago!)
