I did consider it, but I saw a chance to economize and jumped. The Liberty
is definitely not my first choice in a JEEP. I'd rather have an Overland or
something like that... But its 2004 and gassing up I feel is only gonna get
worse... I will keep all posted because they way I drove my 97 JGCL here in
the city has been compared to off roading those of you who live in NYC know
what I mean. So I will definitely put this little sucker through its paces
and lets see if we can get one of the wheels to fall off for good ol' Bill.
The funny part is that they day I was picking up my Liberty a Renegade was
being brought in with what looked like a busted axel or something. The
driver's side front wheel was sticking straight out. I turned on denial mode
instantly!

Your AC will leak on the passenger side, your clutch will slip, you
won't be able to open the gas cap to put gas in it, your tranny might
have the wrong mount and fall out, the bug deflector is going to whistle
like a bugger, you won't be able to put the rear seat back up, the front
bumper will squeak, so will the park brake cables, the keyless entry is
going to be a headache, your CPS is going to go ---- up like the new
Wrangler's, the power steering isn't going to work if you are in a hurry
to turn right, all the inside dash and top lights will flicker, the
'aluminum' rims are going to rust, it won't start in park, the rear
window will leak, the carpet will fall apart, the radio antenna is going
to break, the power window switch will come loose, the rear window won't
open unless the battery is full, the engine main ground wire will come
loose, the exhaust is going to rattle, someone sprayed eau du skunk in a
bunch at the factory, and the Auto tranny needs a special fluid.

Then we come to the 'real' fun stuff....

Your air bag can/will explode when you don't want it too if someone
bumps your fender sideways, your dash can/will fall off freaking you out

Holy Jesus man. It's used for starters, meaning alot of this has already
happend and been replaced and or repaired. I did do my home work and found
the same stuff you "found" because I don't believe any of this has happend
to you personally and I know that only some of that applys to only some
Libertys. Assuming that everyone is an idiot is idiotic in itself.

factory defects, recalls, etc, etc...
Even my old '97 JGCL had numerous recalls and TSBs all taken care of and
never a problem since. Im hoping for the same with this one of which I have
a list of all repairs made to the vehicle including recalls and TSBs. And
get used to it buddy because the Europeans have taken over something many of
us hold sacred, that being JEEP.
