1998 Jeep Chereokee, 4cilinder
After driving more than a few miles or over 50 miles, upon exiting the
vehicle there is a noticible smell of burning rubber. Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this? Help..... |

Oil or ATF leaking that is spraying back onto the muffler or catalytic
converter which is cooking it off? tuber wrote: > After driving more than a few miles or over 50 miles, upon exiting the > vehicle there is a noticible smell of burning rubber. Re: 1998 Jeep Chereokee, 4cilinder
Does your 98 have the aluminum heat shield over the catalic converter
attached to the body? My 96 didn't but my 99 does. If not you may want to get one. (not the shield on the converter it's self) JoBo "tuber" <sualc_tom@yahoo.com> wrote in message news:1130181621.629881.46800@g47g2000cwa.googlegro ups.com... > After driving more than a few miles or over 50 miles, upon exiting the > vehicle there is a noticible smell of burning rubber.
