Re: 1988 Cherokee Manifold Question
well the exhaust manifold is not cast iron on my 1988 Cherokee 4.0 :-)
AFAIK It is weldable steel. So the answer is YES!

Re: 1988 Cherokee Manifold Question
Hi Chros,
Welding an exhaust manifold is always just a temporary thing, some
that are brazed last a little longer, but eventually crack right along
side of the weld. The original manifold was designed to expand and
contract together, the weld a different thickness screws all that up.

Re: 1988 Cherokee Manifold Question
That's perfect, thanks guys!
I can't say for sure if it is cracked, I just want to get all my ammo ready
before going into battle...
As long as I can get 'er past the E-Test for now, I'll worry aobut the rest
later!
Regards,
Chris
