1952 Willys Jeep
Good evening all.
My boss has a 1952 Willys Jeep for sale. 4 cyl. Manual. 3 sticks on the floor. Jerry can. I believe Dana 44 front and rear. Newer top. Paint is faded, but the body is pretty good. I am interested in buying it from him. He wants to get $7500 for it. It starts and drives fine. Can someone fill me in on these older Jeeps and tell me if his price is way out of line. I am thinking of buying it and driving it on nice sunny days. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Greg |

It should also have a T-90 3 speed and a Dana18 Tcase with a 2.42 low range. Engine should be a Hurrican 134 F head. (F does not stand for flat though as this engine had exhaust valve in block and intake in head and is easy to tell apart for the original 134 Go Devil flat head used until 1950) The Hurrican was rated at 72 HP. As far as price, if it is stock, complete, in good running order, not dented up and not rusted it could indeed be worth close to 7500. I tend to place much higher value on ones like this over ones that have been chopped up and modernized. I did a very quick scan and found these ranging from (uh, no pun intended, sure) U$D5700 (beater needing work) and roving all the way up to U$D24500 (perfect resto). The ones that seemed to be in the condition you're describing were all priced higher than your U$S7500, perhaps ~U$D9000 being the mean.
