Re: 1941 ****** on Ebay
Ditto on Gerald's message. We bought a stock, original '42 MB with
military trailer back in '91, kept it garaged for about 6 years, during
which time we only put about 500 miles on it. I would go out to the
garage and just start it up, partly for the battery's sake, and mostly
because it was so satisfying to hear that little sewing-machine ******
engine kick over and hum. Finally sold it to Chrysler for the Jeep
Museum (which has since closed). Just owning it, then sending it Jeep
Heaven made for one of Life's Just Fine Interludes. Buy that sucker!

Re: 1941 ****** on Ebay
That's only the beginning: No seat belts, a steering column that would
spear your sternum, brakes to make you sweat, headlights dimmer than
candles, non-existent passing power, and about an inch of padding
between you and the gas tank. Ralph Nader would have had a seizure.
But, lordy, that power band in 4-low! Those 4.88's would take you up
trees. What a glorious little rig to own for a few years!
