Re: 05 Jeep grand
I'm wondering who it is that doesn't know anything about the Accord.
The batteries, regenerative braking and electric motor, as far as I can tell, don't have a damn thing to do with increased mileage other than letting the A/C run on batteries when stopped. The electric system merely facilitates letting the V-6 achieve better mileage, and gives added horsepower when you put your foot in it. I think the 29 mpg is a bunch of crap. Let's wait until someone without ants in their pants does a realistic test on the hybrid. I have used Honda products since the 60's. Lawn mowers, power plants, motorcycles and automobiles. Honda knows how to build a good product. It would be extremely unlikely that they would put something out to market that isn't going to work correctly or be of poor quality. Unlike some years of the JGC. You wrote "Let's wait until someone without ants in their pants
does a realistic test on the hybrid." You're a typical bleeding heart liberal democrat, in that you dismiss all facts! If you could run Whois, you'll find the site I pointed you to was owned by: AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR CO., INC. I'm through beating my head against a wall. Well, there you go Bill. Wrong again! I'm a very conservative
Republican. I never dismiss facts. As a former Director of Quality Assurance for two major aerospace firms, I am used to dealing with facts rather than opinions. I think we have spent enough OT time on the Jeep newsgroup.
