[OT] natures four wheel drive.
Found a turtle jogging across the front lawn.
No, I mean jogging, as in going about as fast as I walk. And a livly little dude it was. Tried to pick it up and it held onto the grass then instead of ducking into its shell, tried to reach around and bite me. Didn't hide one time. It's now got a home out back, away from the street and within turtle distance of the creek. Plenty of bugs and stuff. I'll need a sign "Beware of Turtle!" -- DougW |

Re: [OT] natures four wheel drive.
certainly hope it didn't have the sharp bumps on the shell and nasty
claws on the feet like this character: http://www.cortland.edu/herp/keys/im...s/cserpelg.jpg Snapping turtles are best approached with a hatchet aimed at the neck.
