Re: OT: Crap, I was a passenger in a T-bone hit, on my side.. Update...

Thanks.

I went off roading over Labor Day in our Cherokee (the soft ride) on a
camping trip and it did my back good, really good. My 'head' too,
getting out of the house was really relaxing. I only use the lap belt
when off road because our trails are too twisty for a shoulder belt, it
can hurt, and the moving around exercise was literally 'just what the
doctor ordered'.

Same for posting here. The neurologist told me to get on the computer
and exercise my brain after he saw the CT scan results. I see him again
in a couple weeks with the MRI results in.

Now if the damn insurance would finally start paying me my weekly
cheque, I will have the money for gas to go out lots.

Hi Mike; I sure am sorry to here about all your troubles. It sure seems
that at times when it does rain that it sure can pore. I sure do know the
pain thing with my knees being full of arthritis. I can't sit to long and
can't stand to long. But you are in the pain zone with practically your
whole body. I can't even imagine what your going thru. I have been in a
couple of serious accidents and have been so dang lucky that it scares the
hell out of me to think about it some times. Mike I sure hope that you just
keep pushing back and don't give up. Thing's do have a way of working out
most of the time so hang in there. 86" Cj's for ever man. Your a great
help on here so stayed tuned in.

LOL! Naw a Cherokee with steel lug nuts on aluminum rims...

I then bent an L wrench. I then used the broken arm of the 4 way and
put it on the nut and pounded on it big time with my axe.

Then I borrowed another L wrench and a high lift jack handle and got the
bugger off.

LOL! Naw a Cherokee with steel lug nuts on aluminum rims...

I then bent an L wrench. I then used the broken arm of the 4 way and
put it on the nut and pounded on it big time with my axe.

Then I borrowed another L wrench and a high lift jack handle and got the
bugger off.

I was gonna say, that's an old truck-tire changing trick...
put the 4-way on the lug, have someone that trusts you
hold it, and whang the end of it with a hammer. Better
to set the end of the 4-way on a jackstand.

I still think that the stud should have broken before the wrench...
was it one of those chrome 4-ways?

A snapped stud would have suited me just fine at that point...

That's not the first one I have snapped, I have a couple more three
armed ones around and this last one already was a three arm, snapped the
other arm on something else.

This one was a cheap chrome one, but the others are steel.

I am 6'4" and about 200 lb, so when I lever on something, something is
going to give usually. LOL, hopefully the bolt, not the wrench or
me... My 1 year old 'lifetime' warranty 1/2" power bar is on it's 3rd
head and I have never used a pipe on it even.
