I have gone the past 2 years without putting the hard top on and am now
trying to convince myself to do it for this winter. I know I will be better
off as I will not risk cracking a plastic window when it is frozen (my
fear). I just have to actually do it....

My 2002 TJ heater kicks butt, which is why I have gone the last 2 years
procrastinating and not putting the hard top on.

South Central PA - Took the bikini off the YJ today and put the soft
top up. Hard top is in the barn, I'll think about it next month.
Heater works fine.

That's what I'd try. I've got a great pair of hiking boots that I've
had for about 15 years and recently the sole of one split. Took it to a
cobbler in the mall and got new Vibram soles put on for about $70. Kind
of pricey but about a quarter of what a new pair of boots would cost and
I get to keep my old boots.
