Good morning LJG,
What is the type and year of your Jeep? There MAY be a relay of some sort that controls the daytime running lights and in turn, makes your other lights act strangely. On my wife's car (OK, it's a Nissan) her headlight relay caused all sorts of wierd problems when it died. The headlamp relays MAY be in the fusebox under the hood.
Hope this helps....
Peter

Hiya,
Is the relay in the engine bay fuse box? Are there other relays (with the same # on them) in the same fusebox? If so, change the relays around. Can you go to a wrecker and "try" another relay?
Peter

Check your connection to the light bulb. I had to replace the bulb 'socket' connector on mine. Oh, and this is my first post in this forum.
