Sounds like a classic Chrysler input/output sensor prob..... but could be the servos controlling it. Mopar made the mechanics of these easy to work on, theres two Tranny speed sensors on the tranny. They crack or fail regularily. Usually, one is black, and other is white. Occasionally, they are diff colours. You can buy these cheap from Mopar, or a parts supplier. If you can get a good deal on em, change em both.

If the prob is deeper then that, head to a good tranny shop, and ask. I will be honest, in most cases I have dealt with... it was those two sensors. Good luck bro
