Ya that must be it!

Probably the other way around, you guys are the ones who can`t drive in the rain without loosing traction!!!

If you guys want to drop coin on a new set of tires thats fine but to say the ST`s are dangerous and you can`t get up a wet hill well that`s just silly, glad you guys are not drivin where I`m drivin.

Well, go check out Jeep KJ Country and LOST KJ's and tell the several 100's of Jeep Liberty owners that they too are all on glue because they too think that the SRA's are total crap!
Not to mention the owners of other vehicles that came with those "Excellent" tires!

Oh, BTW?

I have driven a total of 30 years this year... And not one collision with another motor vehicle or any other object for that matter! And I live in Richmond!

But hey, you like them and that's all that matters...

That's why Goodyear keeps making them, just for drivers like you!

Enjoy them, We didn't.

Hey I don`t doubt some of you guys are having issues with the ST`s and judging by the equippment you have on your Jeep you need a little more tire and that`s fine, all I am saying is some of the comments about the tires are just plain silly and for the average Jeep owner the stock tires are fine.

Not all Jeep owners need or want their vehicles to look and handle like rockclimbers!!!

BTW I use my Jeep for business drive 40-50k a year and use snow tires in the winter!

Actually, if you were to drive our Liberty you would be pleasantly surprised and impressed at just
how much more comfortable the ride quality is and how much better it is to drive compared to a
factory stock KJ; and that it also handles superiorly compared to a bone stock Liberty!
That was actually the selling point for LibertyTC to decide and go ahead and lift his Jeep.
He was already a step ahead in the right direction with his Silent Armours tires. But didn't realize
what he had been missing!

When it's time for you to replace your tires, you can do much better for the same price as the Goodyear SRA's.
Those are the facts, plain and simple.
You see, I am disabled and I need all the comfort and safety I can get out of our Rig!
All the power to you for having proper winter rated tires for you Liberty.

Let's see some pictures of it!

Cheers
Ry'

Nothing special about my liberty Ryan just a stock unit but I love it, it tows my 18 foot boat easily and when I throw the snows on it has super traction that I need as I live in a bit of a snow belt.
And I agree on the tires the ST`s are not great but they serve my purpose in the summer but I will not be buying another set when the time comes I am sure that there are much better tires out there for the money.

When I purchased my Jeep back in 08 they came with Good Year HP. The stock tires had about 50% and were kinda noisy. It was up a hill after stopping in rain, where I could not get traction, and decided the 225-65-17 HP's had to go. I chose the Silent Armor after comparing sidewall thickness and the fact the kevlar belts made this tire "the strong silent type" on or off road. They are snow flake rated as well and handled the 9 feet of snow that landed here over the winter of 2008 with safety in mind. I went up to 245 width in 65-17 at that time. I hit a large glass bottle at highway speed and I was very pleased I had the Silent Armors installed. I am afraid to ask what might have happened if I had hit the bottle with the SRA's on. To me when it comes to tires on a heavier SUV only the best for safety should apply.
It was only after driving Ryan's rig that I realized how bad my rig was in stock form.I was pleasantly surprised after the OME lift how much better my jeep now drives and feels. The stock suspension was bagged, and you only really know it, after doing new springs and shocks.

SO back to on topic Increasing fuel economy..State of tune in a nutshell, lighter foot, less weight and a few lbs extra air in the tires can improve the MPG. Plugs should be changed out about the same time all the driveline fluids are in need. Throttle body cleaning and new air filter is also part of it.
Recently I have been trying to find lower percentage of ethanol in the fuels. Some super's dont contain it and if you ask me that is a good thing. I like to run Chevron fuel and add a separate bottle of Thechon additive as an extra strength cleaner, to keep the system clean every 3 months.

I will definately look at the SA`s when it`s time.

Good gas mileage and a jeep really don`t go together but agree the little things help, I just finished a run from Orangeville to Nakina and back about 2500km`s round trip averaged 29 mpg with the Liberty which I thought was pretty good considering the truck was fully loaded.

Gassing up in Long Lac, love my Jeep!!!
