Canada HELP!!!...lol..

I own a 2003 Jeep Liberty (KJ) and just after I bought it for no reason it stalled at a stop light. It re-started but wouldn't idle the second I let off the gas it died. So I had to 2 foot it home. After it sat for approx. 30mins It started and ran wonderfully and nothing happened until 5 days ago. I came to a stop sign and it died, once again 2 footing it home. My husband checked it out, nothing registered on teh computer. Of course after it sat for a bit it once again ran wonderfully but this time, it only lasted a day. Anyone else ever have this happen or any ideas as to what the Heck is wrong with it? I am all ears.

Thanks.

Hi There, sorry to hear about your KJ's attitude problem. You may find that you do not get many responses on this forum. If you have not already you may want to look into joining the KJCountry forums or L.O.S.T. Links below.

Good Luck!

I been tring to find a reply for you on this and have contacted a friend that had a similar problem on his grand. Now heres what he wrote:(I hope this helps you)
My Grand Cherokee would die after it was run for a while. It just got steadily worse until it would only run about 5 minutes. As long as I kept the engine revving it would keep running but when I dropped to idle it would quit. Let it set a bit and it would restart OK. It also did not show anything on the computer. Finally I took it to the shop and they hooked it up to their scanner. After a good warm up it quit and the scanner showed a defective crank sensor.

I don't expect the Liberty has exactly the same setup as the Grand Cherokee but I expect it will be something the same in that it likely has a crank sensor. I would suggest you have a shop put a scanner on it and see if it shows anything. If possible try to duplicate the circumstances that makes it quit.
