My blinking engine light turned out to be a crack in a hose - they originally thought it was a gas gap seal leak since the error message pointed them in that direction.

The only complaint I've heard about the 3.7 is they are gutless compared to the 4L I6. However thats subjective.

As for wheeling a liberty, i really like the body style and if it were just solid axles I'd buy one. Unfortunately they arent and therefore are a little more difficult to wheel with in my opinion anyway.

However if you get used to it and understand the characteristics you could easily wheel them, just dont expect a lot of flex. lol

3.7 provides plenty of power for the highway, passing is a breeze - at this point I'd take less hp for more range - somewhere around the 1,000km mark would be ideal.

What decent 4x4 SUV gets 1000km range on 19.5 gallons?
Just move the rear tire up into a roof basket and have 3- 5 gal Cans mounted into a rear gate carrier.

Given the increasing price of fuel, the advancements with diesel engines and engine technology in general, anything would be better than a 450K range...

At 140,000 kms the only thing the motor has seen is fresh plugs, coolant flush and regular oil changes with good oil and filter. I use RP, M1 or Amsoil and a M1 M209 or Napa gold filter every 5000 kms. The little Jeep wheels awesome for what it is and can keep up with most solid axled rigs, except through the deep 'skeg holes. I'll post some vids from a couple of club trips for proof!! Lots of guys on other forums, Ryan included, have well over 160,000 MILES on their KJs without issue.
