2010 Liberty
I'm interested in the new generation Libertys and I'm wondering what you guys think of them. Any issues? problems? I really like the looks of the last generation better but that seems to be the way I feel about all Jeeps. Anyway, I'm considering buying new and I'm starting to do my homework. Any comments greatly appreciated.

The only thing I have heard though a couple friends was that the 3.8 motor drank gas like a pig worse than the older 4 lit and didn't have the guts like the 4 in line 6 motor either. Issues other than that I haven't heard.

Even though I own a low mile kJ, the newer Style kk are quite good. Selectrac/ABS.
As you are from Owen sound where you gets lots of snow, you will want to upgrade the tires into a good AT or GY silent Armor's .
Ensure that the Liberty you buy has heated seats and mirrors. If you pull a trailer a heavy duty package would be best. Familiarize your self with the Jeep options Trac-lok rear end, and find out if any new engines are coming in 2011. There are the new Pentastar V-6 on horizon in the grand cheokees, find out what may be coming to the Liberty, as the 3.7 is way long in the tooth now.

Did ya buy it yet? :D
The ride and handling is much different than the KJ. Less of a feeling of connection to the road, more Cadillac like. I have no real complaints, but as TC said you will want tires immediately. We had a 2009 for about a month last winter and the GY SRA's were deadly. I did not like the traction control either (even when theoretically shut off) but mostly just because I like to screw around off road. :D Like I said ... no real complaints. Just don't buy it if you want great fuel economy ;) but you probably already know that.
Good Hunting!

I like the looks of the KK...
But that's where it ends!
I am 6' 4.5" tall and there is not enough leg room either in the drivers or passengers seat for me.
Not to mention that I found the front and rear seats are not as comfortable as those in our 2004 Sport.
I also don't care for the "electronic console-mounted switch for smoother and quieter operation." of the transfer case.
