We have 3 Jeeps an 07,08, and 09. None of the hardtops leak. The seals especially at the front should be wiped before re-installing the front panels. Folding down the windshield will also greatly affect the roof seal once its put back up. The rear window can leak if direct water, like a car wash, is sprayed under the window lip which stands to reason, the tailgate closes on the window seal not visa versa so that seal must also be keep clean.

Checked floor today and it was soaked! I'm lost for words.....it cant be that difficult to find and repair; but this is ridiculous. Seriously thinking of trading it in??? Was planning on keeping this one a long time though......

The water in the carpet is actually a door seal leak and there is a TSB with Chrysler for that. I will see if I can find the link.

I have had my 2011 into the dealership 6 times for a passenger side leak, the last time I thought the problem was fixed for good, but after last nights rain here in Ontario, the leak is back big time.

I have experienced similar issues with my 2010. I noticed my seat belt was wet after an overnight rain and my floor mat on the drivers side was wet as well. After 4 trips to the dealer and their "water expert" they finally changed the large rubber seal on top of the pillar between the front and rear side doors which solved the problem. About 1 year later I noticed a wet seat belt on the passenger side and wet rear floor mats so back to the dealer and they replaced the same rubber molding on the passenger side right away which solved the problem again. No water leaks for quite some time in those 2 areas however I have water entering the rear of my Jeep somewhere since the carpet just under the tailgate and the jack storage area get wet after every rain. Any suggestions on the rear leak would be appreciated.

I started this leak and its not going to stop.I live about 3/4 hr away from a dealership and yes they will look at it ,one trip to assess one trip to fix ,been there done that about 3 times .
I still have leaks my trunk (jack and acc) is full of water ,the back is wet mats are wet etc etc
If we had a dollar for evey complaint we could buy a wrangle for someone else
in fact one dealership laughed and said its a JEEP

For these reasons i wanted to buy a brand new one, I don't know what kind of condition any of the things are on. With a vehicle pretty much capable of transforming itself into a roofless joy i don't know where the parts were stored when there off. All it takes is a cracked seal or worn out peice of plastic to mess with it.

I have a grand idea.. Aftermarket tops? Any good soft or hard aftermarket tops with superior seals on them?

I don't know about hard tops but a company called Best Top is probably the #1 choice for aftermarket soft tops.
