Default Windsheld problem

Hi I was wondering if any one can help me my 2008 rubicon that only has 30,000km windshild looks like it's 20 years old I don't do a lot of hwy driveing but the windshild is coverd with all this little dots all over the place and it's getting hard to see out of the windshild. I think they are little chips but my brother has a 1995 tj and his windshild looks 100% better.

Not much you can do other than replace it. Could be any number of reasons why It's happening. Up in McMurray there are a couple of open pit mines just north of town, a couple times a year we get some really vicious sandstorms in town and my windshield looks just like your describing.

Not sure if your warrantee would cover it or not, worth a try. Also depending on what is covered on your insurance it might cover for a new windshield, if no go at either place then ck around I would say Lebeau, or Glass plus or dealer but not sure what you have in Tor area.

Looks like your gonna need a new windshield,I have a guy from vitro plus,I think,
he will do it for 238 cdn,at your home or work and it's prettymuch the same price everywhere.
One of my buddies lives in the states and it cost him 217us.Mine is also cracked in 3 places.
Damn windshields are rock magnets.(it's because of the vertical design)...knowing doesn't help any though, lol.

I had a Dodge Ram truck for work some time ago. Drove about 1/4 mile through a wind gust that stirred up the winter road sand. Did a beautiful sand blast on that windshield too.

Obviously the glass is way too soft. I've never experienced that affect on any other vehicle I've ever driven through such conditions.

Can you take a razor and remove them ?? try it, but of course, if they're damaged glass, then the guys have given you straight dope and forget the razor !!

Good luck
