warning lights
Hi, I have a problem with my rubicon 2008 in that the warning light for tire pressure and the light for the alarm or key?(I don' t have an alarm) are both coming on at the same time, but randomly, doesn't seem to be associated with any driving pattern as now I am always on the highway. They come on flash a few times and shut off!! No codes are stored, had it to the dealer and they don't know what it is!! Help

Re: warning lights
Regarding tire pressure, well soon as it got cold - on came the warning and when it warmed up - no more warning. I think that the tires were originally over inflated. Like 37-8 psi just for that reason. I brought the pressure down to 30 psi and I think that at that pressure, it is too close to trigger point and warning light will go on and off according to air temp. So took them all up to 35 psi and then no difference no matter what the temp. is outside.
Never experienced other problem(s).

Re: warning lights
The first winter we had the jeep we put nitrogen in the tires which stopped the tpms from false alarms. I had the jeep to the dealer last week for a rear diff leak, still under warranty, and the tech is mystified as to why this is happening.

Re: warning lights
I found that at 35Lbs in my tires I had a little over steer with the BFG MT's... put them up to 37 and alls been good... thats whats on the door anyway... If you are have changed the vehicle weight and want to determine the proper inflation of your tires its simple.... put a chalk line across the tire and dive in a straight line for a hundred meters or so (best in a parking lot) if the chalk line wears eavenly than your good... if the wear is more on the outsides, then your under inflated... if the wear is more in the middle than you're over inflated... do this a couple of times and you will be surprised to see that you will be splitting 1 psi to get the perfect pressure...
