Default The warning Chime

Just picked up my first ever "JEEP". It's a 2008 JK Sahara 2dr etc. etc. I'm still getting used to it, having had it for only three weeks or so, and I already have a personal problem with it. It has nothing to do with the vehicle itsself and in fact I'm enjoying driving it. It is that VERY annoying chime, which is driving me absolutely bonkers!
Can anyone PLEASE tell me if I can silence that thing - Permanently, or are there systems which rely in its ability to continually function.
I cannot find an answer in the papers that came with it and would be very happy if someone would kindly help me in this regard. Thanking you in advance and much appreciated! - Chasmoe.

Sorry Guys! What I'm trying to say is: "Can the audio warning/alarm (the chime) be permanently silenced without causing some system, or other, such as electronics/computer to malfuntion or "see" a problem that doesn't exist"? Or, is the warning chime an integral part of the vehicle, so much so, that the vehicle will not function properly without it? - Chasmoe.

Nws Re: The warning Chime

:(It's part of the jeep, it's not a module that you can remove.

The majority of the chimes are monitored through the BUS system so there is no way to shut them off without disrupting another function.

Thanks all for your input! I knid of figured that that was the case, especially when I noticed that the fuse box under the hood was installed backwards. No wonder they're in financial difficulty, when they have engineers like that!
