Exclamation Urgent Help on warning lights needed

I went to drive my new Wrangler and the engine was idling really rough. Upon pulling away the symbols: red lightening bolt and yellow car skidding came on. It had barely enough power to pull in 1st gear. What do these mean and what is the problem.......could be bad fuel but got in and tried again and seemed to run fine. Should I buy this jeep?????

Sounds almost like the computer put itself into limp mode. I think I'd be calling the lot to check it out, probably threw a code and they will be able to see what's wrong.

If it's new and has issues, take it back and tell them where to stick it.

the lights were anti skid and and red lightening bolt symbols; yes the engine went into limp mode would not pull at all; dealer said there are no codes

they say there is a vavle on an intake pipe which was failing closed starving the engine of air......what is this pipe for? it is pretty scary if one little valve on a small breather pipe can bring the jeep down.

Jeeps were made strong b/4 now there getting fancy and becoming more like a girlie car... enjoy... I will stick to my older model..built strong to last....suggest you take the advice of "Oldfart" hes right to the point on his reply

Dude - from the owner of an 07 - if you've not bought the thing yet, take it back, and find a TJ. JK's are tin can's on wheels. I bought mine to beat the stuffing out of and I am more than I ever though and I'm still a noob, but she's a pig.

Sounds to me like a faulty wheel sensor/abs sensor on 1 of the wheels. Shouldn't flame the whole jeep line up for 1 problem on an unknown jeep. If a wheel sensor is faulty it will show 1 wheel going a different speed then others and activate anti skid or traction control. Tj and yj have electronic sensor all over too. Remember when i had a yj and those damn no good for nothing new fangled tj's came out, suspension was no good, going to be tippy no good on the highway.......as it turned out they were better in so many ways, same with the jk's. Everytime jeep changes model's the new ones are no good.........untill u own one!!

If those lights came on theres going to be a code of some kind, it might be stored but it will be there. Im a tech for Chrysler, it sounds like the tech who worked on your jeep was to lazy to go after it. Theres lots of pcm flashes that are out right now for different drivabilty issues. That might fix your problem. And for the tune that cuts off air, not sure what that is, the only tube that may be there is the egr tube, And i havent heard of any issues like that.
Cheers.
Bye the way Im new to the forums, If any one needs any help, I will be glad to.

Sorry but I have no need or want to try out a JK, I am always waiting for them on the trail because of some stupid issue whether it's overheating or transmission or computer and pretty much everything else, I'll stick to my TJ thanks.
