i just read on another forum about a jjk owner having issues with the stock fan not being water proof and causing him issues after water crossings and even just washing it is this something anyone else here has experienced?

 

We highly recommend putting a bypass switch on it to turn it off during water crossings. Electric fans are notorious for not liking being run under water or in mud.

 

would you be able to explain how to do that im on a tight budget and actually have some switches at home and should be able to do it at home before my trip at the end of the month cause i have to cross about 5 rivers to get where im going

 

got it figured out today took us about an hour hooked the switch up to the signal wire and bobs your uncle fan shuts off
