every now and then my steering shakes a bite not all the time dealer said must be the steering dampner had it replaced two years ago i know my front end is tight as the dealer past my safety last month and they are strict 07 rubicon 76000kms have winter tires 265 70 r16 all newly balanced

 

hmmm... almost sounds like death wobble to me. i would suggest taking it to an alignment shop and have them check all your bushings in the front end, replace any that have any play in them, then have it aligned. do you have a lift? what tire pressure are you running at?
