Canada Spray for interior flooring?

Hey everyone,

I've heard people talking before about jeep owners taking everything our of their jeeps and spray something on the floors so it doesnt rust through and then they dont have to have carpets in? Is this true or am I dreaming?
if it is true, what is this spray called? how much is it? and does it work as an insulator on the floor?

any input is much appreciated...
Thanks,

Chris

Lotsa products out there,
do your homework before hand,
visit a jeep show and see the different finishes up close,
talk to the owners about their experiences,

many I know use Rhino Liner or Line-X,
here is the link for Line-X,

http://www.line-x.ca/index.php?page=home

good luck...

I would still have some carpets like husky liners or something like that. It can get somewhat hot (especially in summer) because of the exhaust system. Plus it's easier to keep it clean that way. I just got mine bedlined because I got a brand new OEM floor installed. I only have cheapo carpets for now, but will order husky liners pretty soon.

Go & get a can of Rubberized undercoating at Canadian tire for about 3-4 dollars a can! works great.

rubberized undercoating eh? how does that work? would I just strip the interior down and spray the floors, then i would have to worry about putting carpet in? I already use the WeatherTech floor liners, on top of the carpets.
would the rubberized undercoating work as an insulator as well or not so much?

Want cheap? For about $100 you can buy "Spantex" deck coating. I've got a 16 foot aluminum boat that's noisy to walk in, and I needed something quieter and soft. Tried loose carpets for a while - no good at all and held the water. Spantex is a two part deck coating available at "Timber Mart" building supply stores. The surface however must be very clean and dry for proper adhesion. First you roll down or paddle on (like icing a cake) the base coat, which is a rubber granulated mixture in a latex agent. Then a couple coats of the top coat latex sealer which smoothes out and binds it all down. Works pretty good in the boat, but the top coat wears relatively quickly and it's available in only "grey". I touch it up every summer and it's good to go. Maybe not as durable as "Rhino" but it's cheap and has worked out in the boat at least. Just my 2 cents.

I am getting my JK lined by Line-X on the 8th of March. I will take some pics and post em after its done. Cannot wait, I've been saving up for months to get it done, its expensive but worth it! They will be at BAJA's show and shine this year I think, thats where I saw them last year and I'm getting that guy to do mine!

I put a 2 part bed linner I bought from Gregs distributors , just like line x , or any other spray in , cost me $100.
Just striped out the interior , rolled it in , took 1 day to do and dry .
Worked so far . It is black in color. . Tough as heck .Quite alot of grip in this stuff as well .

Thanks Billy, I will ask for sure. He said its the first JK they will be doing... and my truck is obviously show worthy :) if I take off the doors so you can't see the scratches lol. Can't wait to come out and see you guys again. You always put on a good show. We are getting ours together for the end of April I believe. I think you are due for a trip out east ;) lol
