Default Rust proof treatment

Anybody using some rust proof treatment ?

On all my previous vehicules, I was going to Metropolitan Rustproofing with good results, even on my 96 Cherokee Country. Thinking about doing the same for my 2012 JK Sport.

What are you doing ?

I did the factory one...stupid waste of money. I was doing my diffs the other day and Noticed the under body was not even covered. I will be going to Krown rust control every fall now.

Big fan of local Ziebart, they do a touch up every year. Jeep's a 2011 so rust it not really a problem yet,
but had my 2004 GMC Sierra done day after she left the lot (with paint protection also) and she's still
pristen. If I find any spots of concern (aka trolley jack scrape), say the word and she's recoated at the next check up. Can't speak for any other Ziebart outlet, as their all independantly owned, but Sarnia's
guy is great to deal with.

I would like to get my jeep rust proofed.... my hubby tells me there's lots of surface rust under there.
Im not sure if that can be taken off before they spray it.
Jeep came from Quebec with only 13000km so Im not sure why all the surface rust.

I rustproof my vehicles yearly, but the best results are from the car wash. I buy a season pass at petrocanada which allows a car wash daily for 90 days.I start it right after Christmas. It makes a hugh difference on aluminum rims, and those notorious hinges on the jeeps.

Can you tell me how the top holds up (hardtop that is). This question is open to everyone.

Also, PetroCanada has seaons passes? going to look into that for my other car.

We ran our 2010 JKU through the car wash every day during the winter of 2010,11 and 12. The kids only noticed a small damp spot after each wash in the back. It was a non issue. The jeep was immaculate after 3 winters when we sold it this past spring. The petroCanada seasons pass can be used on any car, just one per day. The odd time we were out with the minivan, it got the car wash instead.

I had mine done at Gordon's garage in Mtl (Krown) a few years ago they did a very good job at a reasonable price too, its dripped for some time after but that wasn't any problem. Last year I had a local fellow do it at his rad shop very good job there too at an affordable price. Might try another place this year that sprays something like a jelly.. but whatever or where ever you have it done make sure they spray into the frame too.
The hardtop isn't a problem, I clean the roof off before heading out if there was a heavy snow fall overnite to remove the weight, I've had a few times there was dampest or even frost on the inside roof area but it disappeared shortly after the heater started

I am a big supporter of Krown rustproofing. I've got an uncle that has a 1984 VW Jetta which he has Krowned yearly and the thing is still rust free. Their locked in prices are great as well. Our car, van and Jeep are done yearly.
