rubi wheels on sahara...yes or no
Hello people, does anybody know if you can replace stock sahara wheels and tires with rubicon wheels and tires without any issues. Will it screw up my speedometer or the esc and is there enough clearance under the wheel wells. I know that this is a basic question for some but im new to this world, so please be gentle with me since i am a wrangler virgin.

The only difference is the rim size at 17" for the Rubicon wheel. The overall diameter of the tire is the same at approx 32". There will be no issues with speedometer or safety features like abs or esc. No modifications are needed to install them on a stock Sahara.
It really changes the look...In a good way. The Mud Terrains are also considerably better for any off road adventures. You should be able to find 5 near new ones for anywhere between $800 and $1000.
Go for it!

I agree. I put the Rubi rims and tires on my 07 Sahara and had lots of compliments. Just remember that it will definitely affect the mileage you are getting. I dropped between 50-75 km per tank in mileage after the swap.
But they do look great!

zdenko,
You can put the Rubicon wheels and tires on the your Sahara and nothing should be affected but I do recommend getting your JK in to your dealer just to make sure.
One helpful tip is that anytime you are planning on replacing your stock wheels, to avoid any potential electronic or drivability concerns, just make sure you're sticking with the same overall diameter as your stock set up. Anything else will require a visit to the dealer.

The only other thing you will notice is that the mud tires are much louder than the duellers. They handle very nice in the snow too.
Also watch out for people dumping their out of balance tires on you .
