Default No drill CB console mount

Been racking my brain out for the last four months trying to figure out a way to mount my new CB to the side of my console WITHOUT any drilling. Tried Velcro and double sided tape but as soon as the plastic got hot or real cold, they always pealed off. Was walking through Princess Auto's surplus section and ran across a 2 pack of Sunvisor sunglass clips, and after a little head scratchin' - thought these could work and sure enough they were the perfect solution. With a little two sided tape to hold the clip in place on the CB's metal mount, you just slide the visor clip under the console and screw the CB into the mount - a no drill CB console mount. Removable any time you need to store the CB away.

Cheapie very effective way to mount on the TJ. Top of dash in the garbage holder doublesided tape to CB, antenna and power wire run though heat vent and out under dash along lower part of the pass. wall under lip of door frame to prevent water to rear door/window for antenna and for power under dash to cigar light plug. I do have a small Cobra CB which works well.

Explored the dash mount (and overhead) idea but A) have a JK and B) wanted to use a lighter DC adapter for power with the shortest amount of exposed wire. Console side it was to be.

Yup that was exactly what I was looking for but the one I pulled up was different and it looked like you drilled through the plastic and replaced the console bolt with a longer one that held the bracket.
Thanks for the heads up, if my custom mounting fails the durability test I now have a Plan B

Well it's been almost 2 months and a couple of off road trips and she's still hanging in there (literally).
