Canada New to the wicked world of Jeep

Hey everyone,
Im a prou owner of my first jeep. It is a 2012 White 2 door wrangler sport! I have some questions to toss around though.
1) I live in Alberta and I am wanting to put a lift kit on it for the winter time, what would you guys recommend for a 2-3 inch kit?
2) Do i get a body lift, or a suspension lift? maybe both?
3) Hows has everyone's thanks giving weekend been?
4) Any ideas for a hard top as well (OE or an after market one?), or does anyone have one they want to get rid of?

Anyway pretty basic questions for now, there will be a ton more.

Cheers,
Eric

Welcome among us Jeepers! Congrats for your new Jeep :)

1- Not too expensive to begin with, Teraflex 2.5" coil lift is a good choice. There is plenty of other choices and it can be confusing but I trust Teraflex for this budget boost!
2- Definitely a suspension lift over a body lift, it will improve your ride quality.
3- Had an awesome thanksgiving week end, family brunch on Sunday morning and a day at the farm on Monday with the kids, they loved it :)
4- Good luck with your hard top. Didn't come with your rig??

Happy wheelin'!

Welcome to JEEP madness and congrates..

1 - TeraFlex 2.5" BB or spring lift, both are easily upgradeable. Get shock extensions for now and upgrade to better shocks later. The BB will maintain stock ride, new springs will make a little harsher ride..

2- Suspension lift only, body lift can cause other issues..

3- Awesome weekend.. Thanks

4- I prefer the OE hardtop but may be hard to find used...

1. I'd go with the AEV 3.5" lift. But that's because I run the 4.5" ;-). The Tera flex is also a nice lift. Basically when it comes to a lift cheaper is not always better.
2. Stick with the suspension lift as a body lift won't give you anymore travel.
3. Mine was good, to much food.
4. Keep an. Eye on kijiji they come up every now and then.
5. A good place for parts is Northridge4x4 Canada Jeep Parts Online Store - Home (free shipping over $100)
6. Check out ABJK - The Front Page for local events around your area ;-)

I have the 2.5 teraflex spacers with extensions also... The ride is perfect. Might go higher later on though!

First off, welcome to the jeepin', from another one of the "little people", ( 2 doorers)
Being from the "banana belt", southwestern Ontario (maybe that should be Banana Republic), I gotta
ask, "why a lift kit on it for winter?"
Thanksgiving was awesome, went topless to Mom's for turkey dinner!
