New to Jeeps, now own 2012 rubicon!!

Always wanted a jeep, and its the first vehicle i own in Canada that i really feel like driving. Its great. Moved from South Africa 3 years ago and missed my Land Rover Defender TDI a lot. Not anymore. Anyway, just thought i would intro myself.

Hey, welcome to the 'great 'not-so-white' north'!! (no SNOW where I live, anyway...in Toronto)!!

I, for a VERY brief time, considered a LandRover...over the 2012 Sahara I bought...but, having driven a new LR2...somehow it seemed a bit 'toylike' relative to the Jeep...(even my NON-Rubicon)...

I realize that the LandRovers have pretty good credentials...even the LR2...but, the idea that I'd pay roughly $15,000 more, for the basically 'entry-level' LR...nah...

Also, you'd THINK that LandRovers would be big here...with all that wide expanse of wilderness in Canada...but, their reputation for reliability isn't wonderful...Jeeps have always 'been the thing'...
