Im not sure either what the difference is, I looked at both and the only difference was the $475. and the visual hitch and wireing harness. I saw nothing abot anti sway or tranny coller. I would have gotten the two package but the jeep I wanted didn't have it so. I added it mine cheep $165.00 total, looks factory and I towed with it this past weekend with out any issues. Mind you I only tow a small utitily trailer.

Hi just took this from the jeep.ca site
No mention of a Cooler for the Tranny

3.73 Rear Axle Ratio
Class II Receiver Hitch
Trailer Sway Damping
Trailer Tow w/4-Pin Connector Wiring
This option features:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Feature: Axle Ratio
The axle ratio is defined as the number of output shaft (on front-wheel drive vehicles) or driveshaft (on rear-wheel drive vehicles) revolutions required to rotate the axle and wheels one full turn.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Feature: Trailer towing capability
Trailer towing is approved to specific limits, depending on equipment, as specified in the owner's guide.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Feature: Wiring harness
The trailer wiring harness is the electrical connection required to operate the trailer's running lights and brake lights. Some harnesses may include a connection for the trailer's auxiliary brakes.
Feature: Class II rating
A trailer hitch rated to safely tow 3,500 lbs. or less.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Feature: Trailer hitch
A trailer hitch is the main structure that is attached to the rear of the vehicle, allowing the vehicle to be used for towing.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Feature: Trailer sway control
A computer-controlled system used to automatically counteract trailer sway. When the computer senses the vehicle has left the driver's intended path, it will automatically apply select brakes to regain control and restore the intended path of the vehicle and trailer.

Good-luck with your choice

I have a Sahara 2010 and LOVE it
and yes I have the tow package

I don't think there is a difference worth worrying about.... I Got the 70th Anniversary and LOVE IT!! I know folks with a Pentastar Cherokee.... they are pretty underwhelmed...
Mine didn't come spec'd with the tow package ...but for the deal I got I really couldn't say no.... remember...you won't get those $3.2K rebates on a 2012....and you can negotiate one off the lot for significantly less than invoice.....
I picked up a Smittybilt hitch receiver and wiring harness form justjeeps.com for $125 tax in.... the hitch receiver just bolts on with a torque wrench and the 4 way wiring harness plugs into the tail-light.... 30 minutes diy job....and I am no mechanic.... if you want I think Van and Truck world will fit it for $90....and yes...it's rated to 3500lbs

quite a gentle start to modding....even the wife will understand

Yay.... first post!!...Hi everyone!!

Try a search on google for your answer, I would assume the answer is out there (somewhere). Once you get bitten by the Jeep bug, it's tough to get over it.

I prefer the Challenger, enjoying my '09 R/T. The Camaro's are nice, but doesn't ring my bell.

G'luck on your choices and don't look back.
