Hello,
So when we bought 3 piece hardtop second hand it did not come with the parts that attache the 2 front panels to the roll bar. So my question is, does anyone know what these parts are called, and where to find them. I went to my local dealership, but the help there was useless. So if anyone in jeep land could help that would be awesome.

The second one is what I am looking for. I have never had a hardtop before, I am assuming there is a part that goes on the panels that this screws into. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Any further help is also awesome.

Awesome, I had to go investigate. Seems that I was getting confused by that clip like thing on the pannels. Still dont know what they are meant for. But I did see the holes. Thanks alot!

 

what clip are you refering to

 

There is a black clip like thing at the back of the freedm top pieces. It snaps open and cloed. If you leave them oppened they rattle around when driving.

 

The clips are flipped over like a spacer for when the front panels are used without the back part of the roof.. The long wing bolts are used to hold the freedom panels down when the back portion of the roof is off.. Folks that live down south use the front panels only to keep the sun off them.

There are no parts other then the 3 freedom top pieces that are required.. The big wing bolts are not required when the full roof is on, they just cinch the freedom panels tighter, but are required for running with the back half on..

 

Thanks, that basically answered all my questions. I would of never thought to keep the front on without the back. I want the wing nuts just for added tightness, and they will fill in the gap. Thanks again.
