I got a hi lift extreme and am looking for the best way to lift stock bumpers and possibly the side without using the steps? what about hi lift "bumper lift"

anyone have tricks?

the JK bumper is mostly plastic and it's not recommended to lift the jeep using a hi lift from the bumper.

How are folks doing this?

It's best to use a bottle jack or scissor jack under the axle. It's also much safer. Lots of people have been injured using a high lift.

I actually have an ARB air bag that I carry in my jeep and although I still have a hi lift bolted to my roll bar I have used the air bag many more times that the Hi lift.
