Default going from tj to jk what is telling difference

Hello figured I would give a quick review of my transition from a jeep tj to jk. I had a 2000 jeep tj 4liter 6 cylinder I bought this for my 21st birthday and it was my first jeep. I modified it with a k and n intake banks monster exhaust cat back system and 31 Inc tires. Gas would cost approximately 70$ and get you about 450 km with more highway driving then city. To put down the soft top would take about 5 minutes by myself. Over this winter the Jeep showed signs of age and was really starting to rust through as most jeeps from this age do. Aftwr 7.5 yearswith it I sold it to my friend as he wanted a toy. I decided to stay in the Jeep family and get another wrangler with news of finding out my wife is pregnant we need a 4 door. I have now had this jeep jk wrangler unlimited sport for 3 months fuel consumption is about the same as the tj in the city but highway is where it really impressive I think because of the 6th gear and 15 years of newer technology compared to the tj. It costs about 75$ for a full tank but can get about 600 km out of a tank of gas now still with more highway and less city. I find even though it is 4 door it takes the same amount of time to put down the soft top because you do not need to un clip the soft top around the driver and front pass anger door like you did in the tj. Overall I am very satisfied with the Jeep jk and do look forward to our future baby riding around with me in the Jeep with the top down.

Like you I too went from a Tj (2005 Sport) to a 2011 JK, but only a 2dr Sahara. I already had the 6th gear so the mileage difference was really not noticeable. The wider body was what really stood out, you could no longer just reach across and roll down the passenger window. Thank goodness I had the forethought to get the power windows and locks.
Now on my second JK, still 2dr but this time a 2015 Rubi.

You are right about it being wider I guess I did not pay that much attention but the seat is also wider. My dad who is a big guy use to have problems in the tj the jk is better but he said the seat seems wider then his friends 2009 jk he always had the seat belt buckle sticking into the side of him on his friends.

I still have the manual roll down windows. In Canada I find electric just don't work in winter or freeze on you when down and the tracks rust really easy.
