Hey Peter, where did you get it from? I'm guessing you didn't have it delivered to Canada, I'm being quoted $250 to ship to Canada.

I got it from Gobi Itself.
I have a Buddy that lives in lynden Washington which is very close to were i live.
I am going to install in his garage.
I couldnt pass up on that.
Your going to have to also pay duty and brokers fees before they deliver which still could be pretty expensive.

Good deal! Wish I had a buddy in the US! Luckily, our company has a PO box in Buffalo (1/2 hr from me) I think with the free shipping to the US, plus the extras they'll include for free, I'll just get it shipped there, have our truck pick it up next time they deliver over there, and pay the duty & taxes. I'll STILL be way better off then getting in here in Canada.

PJF4x4 follows Gobi pricing policy. We sell at US MSRP in Canadian funds.
No smoke and mirrors, just great prices!

So how'd we do?

Thx
Danny

Went to your site, but don't see any prices, sooo . . . how much for the Gobi Rack system? Stealth with 40" LED front frame, and from the US dealers, we get a free ladder, plus 2 other accessories

Well right now, Gobi dealers in the US are asking $1495 for the Stealth rack (07 JK 4 dr Unlimited), including a ladder, wind deflector, and another option of your choice, shipped free anywhere in the US. My company has a US PO Box, and paying duty and taxes would be about the same as your shipping to Southern Ontario, soooo . . . can you offer the rest of the deal?

The deal is the same as far as what's included. The price is $1599+sale tax.
As far as shipping goes you didn't even supply a postal code in your e-mail so the shipping quote was a ball park figure.
What ever the cost of the shipping is, is what we charge.

I'm a Canadian vendor doing the best prices I can while still trying to make money.
Since Gobi drop ships all their products free of charge to US vendors customers door, it's easy to cut the price to $1499. On the other hand they don't offer the same deal to Canadian vendors customer because of the border thing.

As you mentioned it was $250 in shipping to your door. What your forgetting is once shipped into Canada the shipper will no doubt charge brokerage fees. Next is when you order the rack from the US you will also be charged an exchange rate fee on your credit card despite the the fact that exchange rate is almost par, figure 2-3%. I know because I buy ALOT on my credit card per week from the US.
I noticed alot of people saying "I have a friend/PO box/family/dropbox/cave/tunnel in the US and I can...." Yes you can.
However not everyone has the same privileges as you and I'm willing to offer them the best deal I can while making a few bucks.

So if you are still interested in having a "real" shipping quote please e-mail us your address and it'll be our pleasure to see what we can do for you.

As a side note, if you are asking information or prices from a vendor by e-mail or PM, please include the necessary information for us to answer your request accurately and promptly.

Thx
Danny

I have my Gobi Stealth finally installed, it took roughly 4 hrs to install.
I have to say what a well built rack.
All parts fit great with no issues what so ever. I would recommend if you want a strong built rack which will outlast anything on the market, its expensive, but worth it.
Its a shame i have to buy in the USA but i do whatever it takes for my pocket, and not the vendors pocket.
Merry Christmas and Happy New year to All.
