If you want to save some gas, get yourself a set of 5 tires and rims. The tires should be thinner and made of a hard rubber compound. Right now your tire is a LT255/75R17 and gets 661revs/mile so you just have to find a tire that gets close to that. A tire calulator will help.
And you'll just have to swap them on friday after work to go play :)
Don't forget to wave!

It takes about 3000 k for the trans computer to adapt, but I never noticed a difference in mileage. I get 10-11l/100 km if I drive with eco on, at speed limit, no passing, from Ft. Mcmurray to Kamloops. With my current 4.10's I get no better than 14l/100 km from kamloops to Hope. Around town, I have no idea, I've yet to go a full tank without hitting the trails. 4 low burns lots of gas. I saw it at 22/100 km once, after filling up, resetting the comp and hitting the road. Weird, because it only took 3 hours to go 6 km.
So 9 to 22 mpg is average

Sorry Friend but it doesn't take 3000km. The TCM witch is part of the PCM learns shift point with in a few km. And continues to adapt all the time for the life of the transmission.

after 15000 km's, i avereage out at 14L / 100 km's and 13000 Km's is all highway driving between 90 and 100 km/h

The best being at 12.7 l/100km one tank only.

Really anybody that says gas mileage and Jeep in the same sentence, shouldn't own one. Lets see...Shaped likea brick then we lift then...install bigger tires and Guess what - the gas mileage sucks. I have driven Jeeps since I was 16 and one thing that is same in all of them the gas mileage isn't great...... You buy a Jeep for what it is a vehicle that will take you anywhere. You want great mileage buy a Jetta diesel.

I'm running a stock '10 JK Sahara 4door manual trans. When I first bought it I was running about 19.5L/100km. A short time ago I changed my driving style (read: I stopped driving it like a sport car) and went from regular gas to premium. Now I try and keep my RPMs to no more than 1500. I'm on my 3rd tank of premium (not super, I'm not that rich ;) ) and the average mileage is ready 17.0L/100km as of this morning. I have almost 7000km on my jeep. This is all in town driving so I never really get above 80-90kph. If I can get it down by 1-2L/100km more I'll be happy.

I hope that this helps you out.

I drive 130 km per day with my 2011 Sahara Unlimited, 6 speed manual.
(30 minutes in town, 1.5 hours highway)

I am averaging 11.5 L/100km according to the dash. Driving 85-100km/h mixed highway. (Highway 7 Near Peterborough)
When I reset it on the highway, I get 8.5L/100km while driving at 85km/h (but its the small towns it goes up to 10.5>11.5)

We try to keep it in 5th in town, and 6th on the highway.
