I opted to go to the Dealer first instead of the Daystars first. The hood movement has been getting increasingly worse. In any event went to the Dealer. Service writer could not find the update. I had told him to check for it under the 2009 Jk's as well, no luck. They did however order new hood latches and cover them under warranty. There seems to be an improvement but I haven't passed a Semi or driven in the wind on the highway yet.

Check out Project-JK.com - Jeep JK Wrangler Resource

TSB's are listed in the right hand column about half way down.

Was checking out some other sites and it sounds like there is one out in the states. Dealer installs stiffer latches.

Well I went on a road trip finally. The new dealer replaced hood latches have definitely improved the hood movement but it has not solved it. Passing large on coming trucks still lifts the hood. All though it is not as excessive as it was. I was told that the lift has something to do with the hood movement , Where as it is allowing a lot more air to get underneath? No I didnt come up with that myself I was told by the Technician. Not sure about that one ?

Finally put some miles on. The dealer replace hinges have improved the hood movement but not solved it. There is still quite a bit of movement when meeting large trucks on the highway. It was suggested to me that the lift is allowing more air to enter the engine compartment by the Technician? Not sure about that one ? Eventually I am sure I will end up ordering the Daystar kit .

TECHNICIEN.....That's the problem:alcoholic:...no more good mechanic...Ya right more air for the engine:confused:...
With the daystar the hood doesn’t move at all. I'm not afraid of the big rig anymore:)

I read this thread and wondered why I haven't experienced this phenomenon. So guess what? Today it happened to me also. I guess it would be safe to say that they never bothered to test the prototype in a wind tunnel! Ya 100 kph and passed a big semi.
Just about a 60 dollar bill for those Daystar latches - so I ordered a pair!
