Has anyone come up with a mod to make the doors stay open when you open them? It drives me crazy.

 

I hear you!! They have the detent for the rear gate but not for the doors due to the removable design. I'll be waiting to hear about aftermarket fixes or homemade mods also.

 

you could mock up some gas lift shocks, or maybe use the bracket thingy for travel trailer doors, or bungey cord?

 

there is a guy that came out with somthing for this. I saw it on the JK forum. Check it out. For me not worth the extra hassel.

Door billets might work for you. Check out Quadratec online. A buddy of mine is putting them in his unlimited.

Stick a piece of velcro on the door edge and keep a tennis ball in the vehicle. when you need the door to stay open just stick the ball on the velcro.

 

That is creative and thinking outside the box! I love that kind of thinking.

But I need the door to stay open every time I get in and out and I don't want to commit any of my dwindling time to such a meanial task. But thanks for chiming in.
