Hello, was just wondering if anyone has had any luck in inquiring about the 2012 JK's for Canada. I've been to 2 dealerships where the salemen produced the most bewildered looks on their faces when asked about it. They had no idea that the engine was getting an upgrade. Is this just a ploy to get rid of the 2011 JK's?

 

Yeaup, that's basically what happened to me back in April when I asked brought up the '12s. One guy even stated that the '11s produce 305 horsepower... I probably should have have bought THAT one!

 

I don't think it's a ploy to get rid of the 2011, that's what the rebates are currently for. I think the dealers are waiting on the programs to be offered to the customers.

 

Some pretty good rebates on what's left on the lots. Heck, even some 2010's still around at real good discounts.

A ploy to sell what they have on the lot? Maybe. You as an informed shopper will, 9 times out of 10, know more about their product than themselves.

 

It seems like some 12's are trickling on to lots around the country. I think supply will be fairly tight initially. As a result, I'll probably wait until the spring to seriously look.

 

No 12s here yet. AAMOF there are NO Wranglers left on the lot here at all. There were 6 last week. Its getting to the point where I can't drive through town on any given day without seeing at least a dozen of them on the road. Not too many modded yet though.
My daughter and I are looking forward to taking a 12 out for a test drive.

x2 on the salesman not really knowing the product. Everyone needs to do their research and be an informed buyer before they walk into any purchase. If they don't, I don't want to hear any complaints..

 

Well its a proven fact, that once you want/have something, you will see nothing but. They were always there you just didnt notice them.....I too see multitudes of Jeeps in Hamilton....not too many red ones, thankfully....LOL....and I see them mostly after work...not early risers these Jeepers I guess....and not too many in Ancaster/Waterdown etc....they are too busy with their Crossover whatevers.....Im not a fan...

 

I was at the dealers yesterday for service and was wandering around and asked sales guy about the 12's and nope not in.

 

Not in my case however. There were only a couple of JKs in town when I bought mine new in early 08. I lifted it and put on 35's within a couple of months and has been the only one modded in town until about 6 months ago. Now there are a few, 3 of which my son and I have put the lifts in.
