CB Radio
I am thinking of adding a CB radio to my JK.. I had one in my CJ7 years ago.
At that time we needed to register to operate and a license / number.
Is that still required and where and how do I get one of those.
Next question since we are in ON! Rip off province of Canada, how much?

Re: CB Radio
I got mine from Amazon.com (not Amazon.ca, more expensive) - It's a Cobra 29 LX LCD 40 ch. Then I purchased my accessories (Firestick 3' antenna, antenna mount heavy duty nickel plated stud SO239 type and 18' cable) on Radioworld's website - Radioworld : Amateur & Ham Radio GPS Minelab Metal Detectors Chartplotters Fishfinders VHF Marine SSB radios Shortwave Radio Scanners CB GMRS Toronto Ontario Canada -
My antenna is installed on a Rugged Ridge antenna mounting bracket held in the back of my spare tire.
Cost me a total of approx 320$ shipping included. I know you can get a good Cobra CB radio for around 75-90$. You don't need to get the most expensive one. As far as I know there is no license needed anymore anywhere in Canada to use this type of radio.
Couple of pics..

I got mine from rightchantalradios.com I got the jeep off road kit comes with every thing you need for 156$ US. Great service and very helpful. Took about 1week for delivery by USPS/ Canada post I did however swap out the uniden CB for a Cobra 19DX. Nothing wrong with the uniden I just have a preference for cobra.

Re: CB Radio
"ttrap84" yur price is more reasonable to what they are - I wud have suggested The Flying J truck stop they always had a great selection or Addison Radio (Montreal). I was lucky to have gotten mine from a friend very cheap small Cobra w/ant and mounted it with 2 way tape into the ash tray on the top of the tj dash. No there is no license required anymore.
