Default Car Wash

For the first time i washed my jeep....but....through a self serve car car wash (which I prob won't do again)!!!!

After the wash, I started her up and everything was fine....except everything on the dash was off (all of the dash cluster was all off), but the wipers was on (while on the off position)!!!! So I turned her off, waited for a bit....and restarted and everything was back to normal...I hope! Is this normal?

Also, what do you ppl use to clean the soft top besides soap and water (or should that be it)? And for all the black clading, anyone use Armor All or recommend anything else? I am a big car detailing person (not professional, just love detailing after having a rough week in the office) and would like some input. Detailing the Wrangler is different from other cars that I've had.

Hey Jlau76,

Totally agree, detailing is not work, rather stress release. Shows pride of ownership too. (pretty sure any vehical goes faster when it's clean)

Best Top is the OEM for the soft top...so I purchased the Best Top Cleaner, Best Top Protector, and finally the Best Top Vynal Window Cleaner. All products work really, and should extend the life of the soft top.

Ya, if I can't hand wash in the drive way, coin op pressure washer for me.....never once took the Jeep through a auto wash.

Good luck

Thanks for the cleaning advice.

I did the coin op pressure washer and that's where the issue started. I might take it back to the dealer and have them check it out. I never use the auto wash for any of my cars.

Thanks for the tips.
