Does anybody have (or know of a good place to get) one of those tent/camping apparatus things that attach to the back/top of the jeep? They seem to be everywhere in Australia . . . and are very portable/compact and practical.

FWIW all you need to do is find a scrap trailer axle that is a bit wider and maybe even heavier duty. Then add longer u bolts and spacers or bigger leafs, spoa or shackles and bigger tires. If you put a car axle you can run truck tires but i doubt the extra weight is worth it in most cases. Seen quite a few of boat trailers done up like that where I live. Looks good too with the tires stickin out and the lift

I have a 10ft skamper pop up camper that im modifying to be more off road freindly. Adding an axle flip. 1.5" shakle lift and bigger tires and wheels. I should get 6 good inches of lift from this. I need to get a different coupling system to take the off camber off roading. I also have 2 Pro comp shocks to add to it as well.

I was wondering if anyone knew of any dealers in ontario that sell trailers 2500lbs and under that are like the sprite 400? I know that sprite is still making them in the UK but i am having trouble finding anything under 5000lbs new

Look at Jayco trailers, I believe it's their feather lights that are lightweight. They are off-road capable though.

I did look on there site before, I just looked now there was a nice electric pop up trailer i saw on there. Second smallest, had a king bed on one side and a double on the other with pretty much everything you want inbetween. The dry weight was 1995lbs GVR is just under 3000lbs. So that's teadering on the unsafe area for my 2 door, which is really unfortunate considering the 4 door would have no issues apparently.

You could always check out the little guy trailers,

Little Guy Teardrop Trailers - Home

Im going to head to a dealership, perhaps this weekend, to check them out in person. They intrigue me. I dont really need a washroom in my trailer, just need something more comfortable and dry than a tent.

Ninja Edit - They also have an off-road version that has a great review for it. http://www.4wdandsportutility.com/te...amper_trailer/
