lots of club members down here in Windsor/Detroit area go carpet out lineX in the tub great for clean up after wheeling just hose it out. painted roofs scream I'm on my way to the mall and don't bother waving at me lol.

The great thing about the new Jeeps is the versatility. Soft doors, soft top, no doors, no top = roughin it... hard top(painted) with doors = civilized and refined
having been through 2 jeeps now and done both painted and non-painted, it really all depends on taste. Just because your top is painted, doesn't mean you don't off-road.
Perhaps you just like to have the option of having your Jeep look more refined, specifically if its your daily driver. The 35s, lift, winch, etc still shows a very capable off-road machine that can also blend in with city folk from time to time. I love the look of my silver COD edition with the painted top and flares. To me, its the only color that actually looks good all one solid color. That's my opinion and just like a$$holes, everybody's got one. At then end of the day, whatever floats your boat so long as you still waive, is cool with me.
