Default accident

so on Saturday some guy pulled out in front of me and I smacked up the front of my jeep. I am so pissed. I will find out on Monday from my insurance what is going to happen. I will need a new front bumper, grill, hood , drivers side fender, drivers side quarter. I am going to demand ALL NEW PARTS. No body shop work on my parts. Im thinking of taking this opertunity to upgrade my front factory bumber to the Off Road Mopar one. Anyone know the cost on that? I would think the factory one is $400.00 and the off road $800.00 (I hope anyway). My front drivers side wheels is scratched too, not sure what they will do with that. IF they are going to replace, I will see if I can get the cash instead so I can put towards so other wheels.

Depending on who your insurance company is, you would be stuck with getting factory parts or they can write you a check but it would be for a lesser amount than what the repair costs would be. At least that is what I have seen happen to people before.

Hood-AEV
Bumper- something other than mopar. For $800 you could get a way nicer bumper.

Sorry to hear about the accident. What was the other person driving causing so much damage?

In terms of getting new parts, might be hard. I remember a coworker demended to get her new car fixed at the dealer so that she would get new factory parts. I think that's the only way to go.

Keep us updated.

mine was not as bad as yours, can't post pics right now sorry. Meet with the adjuster yesterday and they are replaceing all panels NEW. Happy about that. Im worried about the painting though. They say they have to blend the pannels as the paint may not be a 100% match. I can upgrade the bumper, just waiting for the cost of the factory bumper, air dam and what ever else goes with it. The mopar off road with fog lights is $839.00. I am shopping around, don't want nothing too huge and heavy thats the problem. Like to keep the weight down. Rampage Recovery looks nice but its heavy I read.

The other guy was driving a GMC Sierre 1/2 ton pickup and I was very surprised the jeep held up much better. They don't think my frame is bent at all. Alignment, wheel bearing and body panels. **** me off now I have to do my grill mod again.
