Default 2014 JK Sport

2014 JK Sport. Stock wheels are 255/70/17. Does anyone know if my current winter tires 225/65/17 will fit the stock rims.

Any 17" tire will fit a 17" rim, how well it does it is the meat of the story. I suggest Google searching "tire size calculator". Search for one that gives a Before and After, side by side, it'll let you punch in your stock tire and then what you want to run. Once in, it'll then calculate the differences between the tires, how much taller, how much wider etc. Some will even tell you how much your speedo will be out too.

^^ what he said...

width will be the determining factor since both tires are for 17's. as long as your tire and rim width are close (eg. a tire made for a 7.5" wide rim will fit a 7" wide rim) you should be fine... just remember, the section width is not an indication of how wide a rim its made for...

I wouldn't do it. This tire will be about 28.5" tall vs the stock 32". That's just too much of a difference for proper operation IMHO, and it'll look goofy too.

Yep, "goofy", - not politically correct or ego sensitive but an apt discription of what it'll look like with tires that much smaller.
