2013 Rubicon - bumper, winch, light suggestions
Ordering a Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited in the next few weeks. Looking for some suggestions for front bumper, winch, and lights (front for sure and maybe back too depending on cost).
The intended off-road use is into and out of my hunting spots – which means usually the pitch black of the pre-dawn (hence the extra lights) getting near to my spots and having nobody else around to pull me out when I get stuck (hence the winch). Bumper is really about getting something which is a bit more sturdy plus a good mount for lights and winch – can’t see myself upgrading to larger tires so standard width bumper is fine.
Not looking to create the mother of all off-roaders since I already spend enough on hunting gear and kids and I won’t be doing any rock crawling, Rubicon Trail type off-roading – just driving in the pitch black through woods, fields, and some marsh.
New to the Jeep thing so any help steering me in the right direction for a bumper, winch, light setup geared for the above is greatly appreciated. Also, any suggestions as to a reliable shop for the purchase and install in the GTA is also appreciated.
Thanks in advance...

Challenge for me is never having been down this road is knowing that…. this bumper works well with this winch and these lights…. sort of thing, not to mention the price point I need to be at to meet the task I described but not overspend.
Also looking for a place to do the install in the GTA if you have some suggestions. Nothing in this beyond what I could do myself but no time to do it for the foreseeable future. Despite me posting about the parts, the shop is probably the more important of the two – I’d rather offload the whole effort on them – get them to order the parts in and offload the exercise on them. Unfortunately life does not deal me too much spare time these days (and what I do get is already overfilled with other stuff) so finding the right place to do the work and who I can trust is key.

Thanks for the input. Checked them out prior to posting my message and I agree wholeheartedly – they seem to have the best selection and from what I have seen on other threads here they are a reliable and trustworthy supplier.

The type of bumper/light setup you NEED or what you WANT are totally different. If your looking to do alot of trailing at night a light bar is the way to go, if your going to do alot of steep crawling up and down hills you'll want a stinger on the front for sure. As far as price, whats the budget for the parts? If you want long lasting parts your going to pay alot for them, because the more expensive parts are powder coated to last longer not chip rust etc. So you look at a 200$ bumper and a 600$ bumper, you can garentee the 600$ bumper is powder coated and will last 10x longer.

I can't really help you out as far as a shop for "Offroad Stuff". I am still looking for that too personally..

Any experience with National 4WD in Burlington or Rock Spyder in Markham?

Just Jeeps :: Bumpers - Front :: Smittybilt SRC Classic Front...
Somthing like this might do you, can put some really nice bright spot lights on it so you won't have as much light as a lightbar, but it will still give you extra light when you need it for sure.

I like the AEV bumpers, 10,000# WARN Zeon winch, and some LightForce lights and you are set. Check ou the Quadratech catalogue on line to compare styles. There are literally hundreds of different Jeep bumpers.

Yeah theres alot of parts, but it would be nice if there was a warehouse store or something with all of the parts on display... Isn't there a off road show or something in toronto? I know theres an RV show and a Motorcycle Show, don't they have one for off roading?
