Default 2012 3.6 mileage question

Hi Everyone
We've got a 2010 unlimited sport that we can get 600km to a tank on. I'm actually surprised it does that well considering the bricklike aerodynamics. I'm curious how the new 3.6 engines are doing for mileage in the 2012's. Anyone got one and checked how many K's you can get on a tank of fuel? My mileage indicator on the dash says 12.3l per 100km, but I'm not sure how accurate that is.

My 2012 Unlimited Sahara says it gets 15.4 Km / 100 KM - I could squeeze out 500 km on a full tank.
Mix between highway and city driving. usually get around 450 km ( like using 4X4 )

That's what their advertising, maybe need to break the engine in?
I forgot to mention , my right foot is larger than my left. Therefore it's probably heavier, lol.

However I did buy it for the added HP and being a Jeep rider.
Getting quite a few waves in Montreal and surrounding area.

Hard for anyone to give great results yet until they break them in some more. I only have 2,000km on mine now and I am averaging 16-17MPG. I also have an 05 mustang GT. When I first bought it I only got 17MPG and now with 86,000km I average 26MPG. I figure the Jeep will get over 20MPG once it breaks in.

I have a 2011 and on the highway and driving conservative I can get 9.3 L/100 KLM. In town im averageing 12.5 - 13

not bad really considering its a big block on wheels.

I just got back from a 600km drive. Mainly highway driving but a lot of small towns where I had to drop down to 60kmh. I averaged 13 L/100 KM so roughly 18MPG. Not bad considering the size of tires I slapped on this thing.

My buddy bought a 2012 Unlimited Sahara as well and he's getting 18L / 100 km.
Dealer told him it was good and 15-13 is mad highway driving and fantastic.

This week-end I put in super and it dropped down between 13-14. However mostly highway driving, did use the 4 X 4 a little on the back roads and plowing thru the drive way. Either way I couldn't care less, just the fact I own a JEEP and it's so much fun to ride around in. It's worth it.

Hit the good ol 6000 KM mark.
Have owned it since Nov, 17th........can't help but the urge to ride!!

We pretty much stay at 12-14 litres per 100km depending upon the time of year...More timmies stops when its cold pushes the mileage meter up a notch. This is my third jeep, one that easily handles our family of 5. I don't mind the extra 20 bucks at a fillup either, sure beats having three kids in the back of a corrolla. Its about the same mileage as our old minivan, but has a way higher fun factor!

I think the 3.6 vs. 3.8 fuel saving is marginally better (I could be wrong) if you're using km's as your check point, but keep in mind the 3.6 has a higher hp rating. Point being the 3.6 is more effecient than the 3.8.

My 3.8 is getting about 15-16l/100km, but that's with Mickey Thomson 33'. In the summer I am going to swap to the stock tires and see how much less fuel I use.
