Dealer got my part and installed it....I was the one that got my JK soaked in the rain, (topless)...so not sure mine was leaking.....anyway the part from Chrysler was a simple piece of foam, much like weatherstripping (I think someone discovered that already if I remember correctly) about 3 inches long maybe 1/2 inch wide and installed (glued) it on the inside edge of the door, (closest to the dash) where there is no rubber, there is a gap there. who knows why. It wasnt a recall after all, but an "update", which is something the factory discovered may fix a problem. If you never have service you'll never be told....I'll try and get a pic of it to demonstrate....pretty simple....but not sure if it works....yet !! You would think they would just replace the rubber with a full piece. Dunno
